The Fairness Doctrine?
Everybody’s favorite grandma, the grandma of the house,
in fact, has decided that it’s time to control freedom of speech. It’s whole democrat thing about quotas and helping the underdog. If minorities are having difficulties getting into college then you create equal opportunity quotas. If illegals show up at the hospital with the sniffles, they get tended to first because they do not have insurance. So now, if the left simply cannot survive on the radio waves (Air America lasted a few months and then had to declare bankruptcy) you simply insist, by law, that they get equal time. It doesn’t matter that no one wants to advertise on their channels and that the public doesn’t want to listen anyway. For the party that wants the terrorists in GITMO to have the rights that all Americans have to Habeas Corpus, doesn’t this seem strange? Aren’t they about to trample on the rights of Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingraham and a host of other wildly popular talk show radio hosts? How is it that the Democrats are only anxious for freedoms against those they oppose?
